We bought the cottage solely due to the fact it came with a dilapidated pole barn that had the potential to be rebuilt into my workshop. Every place I have lived I have had a workshop in one form or another. To me it's more important than the house.

This is my little sanctuary. It’s cold and damp, but it’s amazing how many hobbies I fit in here.

Sledges for training - Normal sized one, 10kg one and a 25kg one which quite frankly is just stupid .
I have a Tractor tyre to the front to go ham on for cardio met con stuff or to flip , or use them for leverage lifts , forearm work or isometric holds at arms length.
The canvas - Its a Dutch blanket to the rear - just hung to cover a nasty old window.
What make is your grappling dummy ? is it made from Leather?

Fantastic. I have tried a bit of mace training and have used a hammer myself — they are a lot cheaper than the commercially made maces. However, I never embedded in my training philosophy, so it’s perhaps time I revisited.

I have a roll out training mat for my garden. I get some interesting looks from the neighbours, but that’s part of the fun, isn’t it.
Agree that maces are silly money for what they are.

If there is one cheap item for a home gym that is often overlooked yet worthwhile I think sandbags are worth having a few of - Lighter weight and then something more chonky and taxing.
I’m lucky - I have two man caves, one indoor (my workroom), and one outdoor (my workshop). The indoor one is where I can do a lot of making in comfort, while making a small amount of mess. The outdoor one (not pictured) is where I work on my motorcycles, do bulk woodwork, and have a couple of woodworking machines - bandsaw, sanders, etc etc. It is also where I can make as much mess as I want, but I have to clean it up…

I made a selection of maces from sports balls (and a larger one moulded in a big plant pot) postcrete and sledgehammer handles.
I turned a wooden Persian Meel on my Dad's lathe.
I bought a couple of steel clubs.
Sandbags are great. Mine are old army kit bags of different sizes.
This is spill over from my unit. I have a dedicated extraction and storage facility for my beekeeping stuff, but when I’m rushing I always end up “temporarily” putting things in the garage. The supers have been sat there since September!
Initially I thought this was a big pile of eaten corn-on-the-cobs, TeeDee’s admiration of it only added to my confusion.
