Making Charcloth?

Hi folks, what is the best material to make charcloth from?

I really like 100% cotton towels...the chared loops really catch a spark well.

Cotton towels are the best. I have an old linen bed sheet that is gonna start getting used too!

All that those above have suggested plus linen.
Linen is the most traditional man made material for charcloth. It was used way back before cotton was imported into this country. Old linen tea towels are probably best.
