Trip Report last of mountain winter

Here are a few photos from an overnight hike and fishing trip that I did about 2 weeks ago , its the last of winter and the snow is now melting fast for spring here , in the next few weeks the moutains here will be clear of snow

Where are you? Looks like a wonderful landscape for a walk and camp.
Fish and a real cooking fire. I bring the lemon & butter.

Back here, there's a risk of extreme flooding when our big mountain melt comes in June.
We are sitting with 145% of the normal snow pack, 300cm in many places up top.
Some snow drifts still around my village house but nothing more than 100cm.

Hi , I live over in the alps in europe . It can flood here to in spring

Thanks, your country side looks so much like the forests around my village in the Rockies.
We had a strong S wind yesterday with +10C and half the old snow in the village disappeared!

I miss fishing the most after I moved here. Two very small lakes only and difficult to get to.
