Well done on the milestone Steve but I'm not even going to try the competition because, as you know, all plants taste green to me....

2 birch
3 hawthorne

How specific do you want this by the way? I mean can we just say Spruce or would it have to be Sitka Spruce to be counted?

Number 9 is driving me mad. I know I've seen it but can't put my finger on what it is.

One more go anyway...

1 Beech
2 birch
3 pine
4 beech
5 goat willow
6 hawthorn
7 whitebeam
8 alder
9 spruce
10 elm

I'm happy with Oak even though there's 2 species, same as Birch, Lime etc. :)

And you've got 2 right Dave

HHazeldean - you've got 2 correct :) My mistake when I originally said you'd got 0 right, sorry about that

Feel free to enter again guys

Just to help folks out slightly I am willing to say that they're all deciduous trees. None of the barks pictured belong to trees that are conifers and I'm including Larch in that group.

Also, as I said earlier, they are all regarded as native or naturalised British trees
