i've got a similar thing made from box section. I'd been meaning to make one for years, but only did so last year. Until then (and still while teaching) I use a block of wood with a slot sawn up the length of it and a pair of vice grips. That has been the way that I've been doing it for the last 15 odd years and it works

You know Biker I have images of you in your Steampunk Chateau in the woods, beavering away penning the delectable Betty and coming up with all sorts of things while researching on a coal driven 'puter. (I still love your stove fan and a mate I showed it too was very impressed and he's a physicist.)

Cool and simple design that clamp, I like it.

You get quite slick at swapping them over!
