Just a thought about your bow saw

I must agree that this is something I wouldn't do, as for sure you could damage the blade. May I suggest a piece of canvas with handles sewn on the long sides made of webbing. Put the logs on that then just pick up the whole thing by the handles and carry the logs that way. One of these takes up little room in a pocket or stuffed down your jacket. It will save the blade from bending with the weight of the logs. I know you said you've done it many times with no problems. But you need to take proper care of tools and use them for what they are designed for. Great idea for an emergency tho.:)

I think it depends of the quality of the saw and blade if that will damage it.

I have seen a lot of blades that had been twisted irreversible.

I'm not snippy. It's all good. Although I find it amusing when in my OP I clearly stated 'you may like it, you may not'. Twas not my opinion on how to do it, it is simply how I do it. I also don't mind when people say 'I'd do this...'. It's just a tip that's all.

I wasn't referring to anyone specifically just noticing a general trend... been guilty of it myself recently for which I apologise. I can only say I was suffering a very stressful situation but that's no excuse. It is always possible to disagree nicely and I hope my previous post does that.
My mother always said if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.. Which is very sage advice. Sometimes in the heat of a stressful situation it can be forgotten. But I feel as long as you have the grace to apologise. Everything is cool.
Anyway ...love and peace to all.

I can understand if people who are following this hiking highways, that international long distance pathes who have to follow at this crowded spots a "leave no trace" philosophy for example get really stressed if bushcrafters talk about axes, long bow saws and lighting fires.

I can understand if mountain hikers are strictly against olive green equipment and forest walkers strictly against people who recommend bright blue, red and orange equipment.

I can understand problems between users if there are standing philosophies behind, like old school vs plastic equipment.

But once I wrote in another forum, how easy it was to break a mora companion.
I wanted to see, when it breaks, and I broke it.
People really hated me!

But it was my knife, and I can do with it, what I want.

People treated me as if I would have murdered a mouse.

Erbswurst! I hope you are having a joke! Im sure you are.Hate is a very strong word and even said jokingly can be misconstrued by others. You will have to hate me too as I have no work today... unless you count the washing the cleaning bathroom and toilet changing beds mending my raised bed in the garden visit to doctors for eye infection that is making me all wobbly on top of my normal wobbles cooking and shopping.dealing with phone call about my unpleasant incident last week trying to replace a battery in my motorbike. .. etc etc. When do I get time for work? :) :) :)

Half joking.

It's not me, who has anything against people who don't have to work.

This morning I slept till 1 PM, went to buy 1 ltr of ice cream and played in this forum until now.

But I will look after my writing desk later.

This work doesn't run away, unfortunately.

;0)

All languages have that..
What is the worst with the English one, is the different words and spellings on each side of the Mid Atlantic Ridge.

Makes it more difficult for us born with another father tongue!

Yes, and that French words aren't always written French, and German words never like in Germany.
Every nation created another spelling of the same words. It's incredible idiotic!

Instead of norming the bananas they probably should slowly start to work on this problem.
