You expect an avalanche, a fall but have to admit its not something that came to mind when you think of a climber losing their life.
Is this a common thing? The physics makes sense I suppose.

Not a climber, so don't know if lightning strike is common hazard, agree about the physics though. He was a good guy, shame he's gone on, at least for them as would have liked to go with him.
