here's the Mk2 version of my vintage style leather fly wallet :) reasonably simple to make and everso effective.

Thon foam stuff ? is it treated with some kind of rust inhibitor ? I'm thinking about needles.

Sorry Robbi, we're going a wee bit OT :eek:

I was told recently that the same fomes that was traditionally used for these wallets was also used to store needles.
I'd love to know it worked; but I'm chary of ending up ruining good needles. I buy and use, old Victorian and Edwardian ones, much better than most of those made nowadays.
Fomes I can find, and I can strip it out and prep it, but it doesn't always come out as clean and tidy as the stuff Robbi used in his wallets, and it'd be easier to see the needles agin the white :)
