I just fancied seeing what sort of wallets people like to carry.

Here's mine. It's a Three Sons Leather Co 'Mitchell' wallet which I've had for 3 or so years now. I love it as it fits my criteria of:

1. Feels like a nice item, very well made
2. Low profile. I don't like a chunky wallet
3. Is leather, because I like leather
4. I don't ever use coins, so no need for a coin pocket





I think one day I'd like to make my own version of this sort of wallet, but got a lot of practice to do first.

I just have a cheap folding wallet with some slots for cards. It's not bulky at all and I often take some cards out to get it thinner...

I’ve recently switched to a ridge wallet copy.

That’s it next to the old one - the old one doesn’t have any card in and the ‘ridge’ has all the cards that the old one used to have in!!

Sorry amazon image link. IRL it's actually smaller! Eono leather wallet that's basically a cardholder with space for drivers licence in a window slot and a few notes. Mostly I use cards anyway and a few tenners last months in there.

The best thing is I no longer have a wallet stuffed with significantly more receipts than notes or cards. I simply have to take them out after every trip!

my cash is kept in a little self made drawstring bag -- currently it's rather empty :-(

Now. This is my everyday wallet. It was my first leatherwork project and a very early sewing machine project. It’s not good work, it’s just functional.
It’s nothing more that a strip of leather with pockets sewn into the inside face and pointing in various directions. Then it folds up.
I’ve had it for more than twenty years and in that time I have never mislaid my wallet or car keys / the chain and quick release shackle ensure that.
It’s mostly cards Bank, membership, information, etc etc. Since adopting a phone payment system I don’t often need to pull it out of my pocket.

I use this one. Cash and cards, and a whole load of pointless bits of paper which have been in there so long all the writing has worn off.

When I was travelling with work, it was important to me to have a minimalist wallet that could be carried comfortably in my front pocket.
The one I currently carry is made from Australian Cane Toad skin.
Measures about 75mm x 100mm (folded)
Holds several folded notes in outer pocket and 3-4 cards in each of the inside pockets

I love that burnished patina that comes with a few years of use.

I’ve been using a money mitt for the past few years. It keeps me from getting too much junk stored up and is nice and discreet to carry.

They’re made from worn out Major League Baseball mitts so have a complete individual character regarding finish and decoration. Extremely tough leather too! I’m not sure if they ship to the UK mind, I got mine sent to a family member in WA.

This wallet was a gift from my sister a few years ago and it’s recently turned up in a box of things we had in storage. Accompanied by a Civivi Elementum knife, Steeldive SD1970, and a Wurkkos TS11 torch.
