Classic case of being in the right place at the right time.

Just in case you're wondering - Yes the seller was fully aware of what he was giving away. He even looked after it for me along with the sleeping bag liner and cold weather army mittens I bought from him while I wandered around the other stalls. He handed it over the table to me so he must have known the weight of it and knew it wasn't empty.

So this is me ending my posting with a rare smug gloating expression on my mug.

hmmmm I'm wondering since the leatherman and that replica are almost identical perhaps I can undo the fittings to the leatherman and add that screwdriver bit into it removing the obsolete screwdriver parts from the leatherman.

Anyone ever done something like?

An awl you mean?

You can use it for working with leather, 'drill' holes in wood (for traps, so they say), etc.
