How is it different from a similar sized opinel in performance though?

Don't know, I've never fallen for the Opinel's looks so I haven't really tried them.

I'm guessing they are similar in cutting but because the Opi. locks it's not UK legal unless you remove the collar which seriously effects the handling imo.

Can't you drop a spot of superglue on the Opi collar to stop it revolving. Or will this effect the handling too?

The collar is easy enough to pop off when not "needed", carried elsewhere, and popped back on when wanted....
It is a bit of a faff though....

Nowt wrong with a 2CV!
But some folk prefers "CARS"

I modded a Trevor ablett to look like that Joker, be legal and so it would carve better, but that looks very nice.

I've fettled mine now with a few coats of Walnut Gunstock Oil on the handle and a quick strop. Oooooooh - it redefines the word sharp !
