Olivewood seems to be popular at the moment - the first three knives out of the 9 I had on offer (to fund a new gearbox) were handled in Olivewood.
Unfortunately I have sold my Olivewood Joker as well - $%£^&* gearbox!

John Fenna, you're not allowed to diss the 2CVs You can diss the french all you like, I don't care (except me, of course) but not the 2CV..

hmm, thinking I might have to pick up a couple on payday...
I have a carbon opinel that I use for rough cutting at work and it is pretty poor if you ask me.

I reckon the blade is very similar to an Oppi, maybe just a bit thicker, but the mechanism is much nicer in my opinion.

2CVs are awesome - perfect minimalist counter to the 'all the gear and no idea' overloaded, bloated offroaders. But have you seen the price of them lately?:yikes:

The drop point is nice but I still feel that there is something not quite right about the Opinel.

I've just never fallen for them the way others seem to, the blade is excellent but the mechanics seem slightly unfinished somehow.

It's like the designer gave up halfway through the afternoon and went to a cheese shop instead.

I think I'll stick with my Joker.
