Greetings from Leeds

Hiya everyone

New to the forum and not been camping walking since i was 16.
Spent many a good summer holidays camping around north of england and scotland with my Parents way back in the day.

Decided i hate city life but can not seem to escape it so decide to do the next best thing, made a choice that this year i would try to get out of the city camping, walking on a weekend.

Any advise you can give on getting started again, i.e good campsite or private wood that i may be able to travel to within 50 miles of leeds.

I have a good 4 seasons tent that i will start with but once i get used to camping again i will be packing a lightweight basha.

If you can get to Manchester next weekend, about 50 of us are having a Meet. Not sure if that is within 50miles or not?
