The point on pricing is a general point, if a retailer consistently sells a product for far less than RRP they cheapen the brand and therefore will eventually stop getting stock - if the manufacturer see fit.

In regard to The Bushcraft Store, and from working for a company that sell GB axes, it is true that ALL retailers will be receiving reduced stock for the next few months. There are problems at GB leading to reduced output. It is not a quality drop, just an issue regarding producing the volume needed. It will be sorted soon enough.

Hope this helps.

Must say that although I've had a GB axe in the past and won a few throwing comps with it I do think that it's a steep price to pay. But if you want one then get one. I don't use an axe professionally anymore but am more than happy with the Husqvarna hatchet I'm using these days. Since "man" has made tools they've hankered after the "best" Greenstone axes, bronze axes the list goes on. At the moment I'm in love with the idea of a shepherds axe, but I can't justify or afford one.
