Here's a couple I've been unable to place

1st is on a dead scot's pine stump in Auchterarder

2nd is on living oak, Loch Katrine

Any ideas?

bottom photo looks like chicken of the woods. the colours can get blanched quite a lot if it's been raining..

This season is the first time I've tried to be systematic about I/D's and t
the only Phaeolus I can find in Roger's book is this one.....Phaeolus schweinitzii.

There's some confusing pictures of this, although this picture by Markus Wihelm on www.pilze-basel.ch is just like it.
