Lemoncello is nice.
Can you get Limes where you live? Make Limecello.

Thank you for reminding me.
I have two potted trees full ov very ripe Limes.
Yellow, sweet.

Just need to get some crapola Vodka tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to the spring time when the beech leaves come out. They are picked then steeped in the vodka with some sugar. Makes a potent brew which stumps everyone as to what it is.

Janne: Make lime marmalade condiment for toasted bready things and as a glaze for BBQ chickens.
Ever here at 53N in the -30C depths of fekking winter, lime marmalade is worth doing.
Come to think of it, I'll bet stirred into a shot of vodka could be a very nice drink.

I have about 9 jars or so of Lime marmelade I made last year.
I am the only one eating it.
So it is either slicing it down into tea, or wasting it.
Limecello sounds like a good option, but it will be low in sugar.

In Moscow, I used to buy "spirt", 96% alcohol, and put a big handful of caraway seeds in the bottle to make poor man's Kümmel. With 96% alcohol, the extraction is a bit faster; then dilute half and half with water to get back down to a drinkable 48%.

I've also used ordinary 40% vodka and bird's tongue chilli peppers to make my own pertsovka; either for drinking neat or for mixing a bloody Mary.

Poor man’s Kümmel?
No, Thinking man’s Kümmel!
You made the real stuff.

I used to make Akvavit, which is similar. Caraway and dill seeds I used.
These alcohol less days I just buy a bottle of the widely travelled Linie.
