got date for meeting the county appointments advisory committee
so i should soon be a scout leader
its taken a long time through a variety of reasons but soon i shall be wearing a woggle again!
very excited and mildly terrified all at the same time

i'm hoping so
best bit is that its for a newly starting group so i shouldnt inherit assorted political rows and other BS that is always around
that and i should be able to steer it towards traditional scouty/bushcrafty stuff

Well done, I'm sure you will love it. I was a cub leader for 6 years, and loved pretty much every minute of it. Unfortunatley health and safety put a stop to a lot of the scouting that I loved as a child, but its still great fun

fortunately the age group is 18-25 so it allows for creative interpretation as they are already adults

Been back two weeks now from camp in Scotland with our Scouts and off again this weekend (local camp) with a different lot of them (one day I'll take my own advice on the balance thing , but until then I'm having too much fun!)
