Fly-in Fly-out. Very common in the mining and energy industries but for sometime I have been a FIFO bushcrafter as it seems a number of you are.
If you take a train on coach for some distance I guess you face similar problems but without the airline security checks and border crossings. I know one person who was told he had to much paracord in his hand luggage and had to ditch it!
It has made a difference to my kit. Now I use quick dry shirts and carry smaller sharps.
Then biggest nuisance is lugging about a set of clean clothes to fly out in.
