as dommyracer said the Opi No. 5 with a 60mm blade does not have a lockable ferrule. Or buy a NO. 6 with 73mm blade and simply remove the ferrule. Best single blade knife for the price and type. I prefer the reassurance of the locking function so put the ferrule back on when I am back in France or out in the countryside.

Hi go for alox soldier really no bulky, if you want to go ligther go for SAK waiter is amaiding how many things you can do with them that you´d not never try with a more expensive or tactical one ;-).
