RIP Drew...

You enriched the lives of everyone who met you and will be missed around so many camp fires.

I'll always remember giving you chilli stuffed olives at Middlewood with a smile...thanks for that and other memories bud.

I posted this in the Words of wisdom thread earlier.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I did not die.

Nice vid Dave, just had a lump in my throat watching it

We swung by Barbon Beck today whilst out on a road trip, it was there in January that I last got to share some time with Drew. I took the Kelly kettle along so I know Drew would've approved.

Now I have had a chance to blow my nose...
A poem that means a lot to me from previous mates who have "gone before" and a note from my mother.. "IF" by Kipling..
"If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds worth of distance run
Then yours is the World and everything that's in it
And - which is more
You'll be a Man
My son! "
Drew got there ahead of time due to the pace he lived....
I did not realise how much this could affect me!

Aye that video was very fitting. Brilliantly done.... This forum, and his friends on here were a huge part of his life, I'm sure he'd approve...

Picked up a couple of packets of bourbon biscuits in his memory today... Drew.
