Just heard mention, while watching a live stream that Ozzy has passed away.
I havnt yet looked to find anything to confirm this, but loads of comments saying it's true.
I know he said himself, he didn't have long, and the last video I saw of him showed how frail and near his end he was, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. I'll look for more confirmation.
My guts say its happened.

OK just typed it into Google.
It's true. Main news papers reporting it.

Perhaps the thought of the coming last gig was what kept him alive. And now that it was over perhaps he felt that his job was done and it´s time to go to rest.
I have been an Ozzy (and Black Sabbath) fans since early 80´s.

Another bit of my misspent youth gone, never to return.
At least I have the memories of headbanging to black sabbath and many other sounds at the biker "discos" in the 70s in Camberley, Farnborough, Farnham, Sands, Guildford, Basingstoke, and many other places. Used to ride miles in all weather's for a night out.
Oh what memories!
I may play croquet and have vicarage cream teas nowadays, ....(how sad) but my heart is still a badass 19 Yr old biker chick who rode my own triumph trident 750 in 1977, while all the other girls rode pillion.!

Very sad news, both Ozzy and Lemmy really defied the odds with how long they survived! I think Herman is right about living for the last gig. Both musicians were a big feature of my teenage years and I continued to enjoy their music for the next 40 years or so although I always preferred their early albums that I first listened to.

Bracknell Chopper Club perchance?

Oh yeah, Ozzy is part of my youth alright. Ozzy was an ordinary lad from up the road in Brum who done good, nothing remotely pretentious about him or the rest of the band. He lived for the final concert and gave it his all.

The clan will have to hold a memorial drinkathon.

No! I don't do clubs.. not even tesco club card. :)
Always been a solo biker.

Though I did subscribe to bikers with a disability for many years, but that was basically no more than a year badge and a magazine 4 times a year.

Gutted to hear about Ozzy. He and Black Sabbath both were hugely influential in my music listening from 10 years old and on. He and Randy Rhoads gave me some of the first tunes I learned to play on guitar.

He raised nearly $200,000,000 for charity from his final gig a couple of weeks ago. Mamma I’m Coming Home was written by Lemmy, a good friend of his, and he was able to sing it one last time before heading up to join him.

What a send off for him both in terms of his career and his time on this Earth.

$200,000,000 for charity! That’s incredible, what a legacy!! I love the way “stardom” never changed him, he always came across as so humble and unassuming! I remember watching his interaction with his local Fire Chief on that At home with the Osbournes, or whatever it was called, I think he wanted a party on the beach or some get together. It really made me chuckle, he was so humble, he reminded me of a little boy asking the head teacher for permission to go to the loo, I get the impression he was in orbit, as it were, to put it politely! :lmao:
