From an obit. today of Jean-Jacques Savin, lost at sea a few days ago, after crossing the Atlantic in a barrel in 2018/19 he decided his next adventure was to swim the Channel, but then changed his mind to solo rowing across the Atlantic instead, aged 74. Go big or go home.

Another I think of when I'm feeling like I can't be bothered is Göran Kropp.

There are some mad folks out there. RIP both.

My parents are 72(mum) & 75(dad).they won’t slow down & go out more than me.
They both know how lucky they are to be able to still enjoy & have a relatively healthy life & I encourage them to do so.
They still go on long haul holidays & short breaks.

My dad never stops from the moment he gets up. I honestly don’t see where he finds the energy to carry out heavy fabrication welding/metal work & engineering.
I just hope I can carry on in later life like they do.
