Dartmoor Meet 1st to 3rd April

Thanks Badge , They are up at the cabin as we speak doing a jigsaw by the wood burner , i know coz i had to go up for a solitary can on beer , extreme bushcrafting or what ? Fair doos they stayed on site all day and their spoon efforts are really good . by the way my mate has lost his canoe paddle and asked if you would kindly lend him yours!! ha ha

Have just been stood here at work thinkin the same thing.Just been to tescos to get me a bottle of wine and have filled my hip flask with some good german schnapps:)

Yeah I know the feeling... i'm driving back to Somerset tonight, I have to sort all my kit out - which has not been touched since the end of last year, sharpen everything, decide what I am taking, decide on menu's and then pack.

To top it all off before I can come down I have to go and have some dental work done!

tell me about it, how come this has been arranged for weeks and weeks, yet i leave it until yesterday to try and find everything

and how... just how does the stuff in "neat" piles in the garage, somehow find its way to obscure corners of the house? :(
 
One thing i will say, you will feel very comfortable at the meet, for some reason the place just makes you feel relaxed and Ivan is a top host, i've sat around the fire with folk twice in a week and it feels just great :D

I was going to pop over tonight and say hi to those who may have arrived early, but work got in the way :(

I'll be there with Fox tomorrow afternoon to set up then we have to shoot home for the night due to the teenagers not being left to their own devices for 2 nights on the go. We'll be back on Saturday though for the night :D

btw Ivan, have you spotted my wooden bowl around? i'm getting an earful atm as i left it behind i think...
 
ok, packed :)

and now to unpack, prune out 50% of the kak we dont need and repack! lol i really dont think 2 large rucksacks, 2 day packs, a army kit bag, the tent, a box of cooking kit, a cool box and lots of carried bits is really needed

lets see if i can get it down to just the 2+2 bags, tent and cool box :)
