Sorry guys but I have unexpectedly and very irritatingly been scheduled to be on call so won't be able to make this meet.

Hope you all enjoy and the weather is kind to you!

I’m very much looking forward to this one fellas. I’ve started getting some bits together today also.
I’m up in the woodland this week, sorting out a chestnut that the wind blew over. If anyone is interested I can bring some nice lengths for carving spoons etc?
ooh... chestnut's a wood I don't have - it would be good to carve a bit :)

No problem then, I’ll head to the woodland on Thursday and take some lengths. It’s very green and lovely to work with, I knocked up a quick spoon last night.
Sounds great John, it’s been many a year since we last met!

For anyone thinking of canoeing; I'm sorry, but I've just checked, and the lake is only open to members of the yacht/canoe club at the moment - it's been like that throughout the Covid period. I had hoped they were allowing guests and day tickets as normal but it's not planned this year.

If no-one else is a member, so no-one is planning to paddle, I'll probably not bother taking my boat down :(

Thanks for letting us know Broch.
A bit less packing now :)
We should get there around midday Friday. Is there much space for hanging?

Hi Greg, yep, same here, I'm glad I hadn't got around to lifting the boat off it's rack - though it is a shame we're not getting on the water.

There is hanging space but I'd bring ground options as well if I was you (I'm planning on being ground dwelling this weekend).
