Dartmoor Meet 1st to 3rd April

and repacked decided we really don't need two hurricane lamps, as nice as they are, nor plates, dishes, various cutlery or indeed the cool box. beer ain't that bad warm and tequila is quite good warm... sure the stream is cool enough to act as a chiller

cant find the 2 pairs of waterproof trousers though never mind, i have mine! lol

and apparently, what i call the " tech bag" is actually "you mean your toys"...... no, the saw, axe, knives, cord, headlamps, bungees, spark sticks, tinder 2ways and so on, is "tech" not "toys"!!!

so just a quick trip tomoz for a couple of sporks and the food (yes, sadly all in tins, havent got it together enough to sort meat and veg and all thats needed with that)

oh! and lager, cider and of course (else Jay will be disappointed with me!) tequila

The site fridge is awesome mate, keeps them beers ice cold, although if everyone drops their tinnies in there it'll turn into a dam before long!

I have some car trouble so will probably not be able to make it. The car goes in the shop first thing on Saturady morning & then I will see what time it is when it is done, but chance are I wont be able to drive down in time.

hiya, check in before we check out just abouto to pack car and then pick daughter up from her after school club at 4, then outward bound.... see you all soon

likewise, hope you get your car sorted Neumo, seems to be a day of car troubles, i had to get tyres done at 8am this morning due to unrepairable puncture and a work mate had her car robbed of her work stuff last night.

badger, i hear that gaffer tape is a good teenager babysitter

We're home and had a great time with you all, looking forward to the pics and video ( a real highlight to the weekend! ) and it was great to meet and chat and learn from those around.

We're finally home (via Yeovil to drop off bushwhacker, and Scouts)!

Thanks all for a really, really great weekend.
Will try to get our pics up tomorrow and can't wait to see the others - AND the infamous video! Will always remember Fox clinging on to me trying not to pee herself while I was in tears!

It was great meeting some of you guys. Like everyone else I can't wait to see that video. I'm still half blind in one eye from clapping eyes on pinky's hair for the first time. Spoon carvers anonymous was a bit of a hit too if I remember correctly. Was a shame to get back into the car and head home, back to the "real" world.
