Damsons

This morning I went and picked some damsons from a house down the road, I ended up with a few bags of damsons. When i got home they weighed in at 14lbs of damsons The first 4lbs have now been turned into 4 large jars of damson jam

Next on the agenda is some damson wine and with the remaining some damson gin and vodka

A perfect outcome for such a fruit, and jam nice too

Was working at a different place today, and found a damson tree, have now made damson gin to go with the blackberry vodka & plum gin.

several years ago I made 6 bottles of damson wine. It was superb. Sadly mrs tallm made some damson tar (was supposed to be jam but it didn't work out) else I'd have made more.
