While on the subject i want to ask a quick question. The other week while walking through the woods i found one and light it. It kept the ember for as long as i wanted it to but when i tried to ignite some fine birch bark withit i just ended up getting nasty smelling smoke in my face
Can anyone tell me how to use a cramp ball fungus once it's lit? :)
Cheers
Rob

Hi all,i have never found any cramp ball fungus here in the Borders so i take it the conditions are not favourable for it to grow here. Even Fommes Fomentarius(Horse hoof fungus)is few and far between here,we do get Birch polypore(Razorstrop) though.
