[Melonfish]

Chaps, dont think my kit or more importantly my experience or ability to be out in such temps is going to let me do this, perhaps next year when i've had more practice but for now i fear i'd die of hypothermia or at the very least spend the night cold enough to shatter with a sharp stick.
i'll have to pull out for the moment. if there's one later in the year count me in tho!

Love to come along though i'm fairly inexperienced (as in un-). I'm leaving the navy soon and will be back up in Manchester for a few years, so it'd be nice to know a few like minded northern folks.

As I am not able to make this weekend, I went away last weekend to the Lakes. It was FANTASTIC, bl@@dy cold but brilliant, temp was down to -15oC
Friday night but toasty in my dos bag and fleece liner.

Just thought I would let you all know that the cold can make it better so dont wimp out thinking it will be too cold, you will be kicking yourself when the others post how good it was.
