As said above my shimano does come in a hard plastic holster style case with a good shimano reel and spare spool,i dont know much about fishing but a couple of people in the know said its well up to the job.
Its maybe a bit more expensive than some but you get what you pay for mostly i think,within reason.
I like the whole compact package,small enough to fit on the top of a daysack.
Well worth the little bit extra in my humble opinion.
