hi all the big labowski arranged an overnighter this wekend harvestman and myself arranged to meet tbl at the designated spot i arrived loaded to the gills with gear and of we all went for the one mile walk to the site,tbl had not mentioned it was all up hill now me being an oldish fella the guys duly helped me to get there(thanks fellas) we arrived at a fantastic spot right by the river with good trees for hammocking and aplace for for a fire somepictures

Looks a good night out, i did a recce for a local over nighter yesterday, found a great place but its full of junk, so im going armed with bin bags next week ;)

Those kebabs were superb! Credit to The Big Lebowski for those. He didn't tell me it was a mile uphill walk either. I thought it was a local camp, so I brought a cast-iron bakestone that i then had to carry like an idiot. It weighed about half a ton. I need a titanium bakestone!

In the top pic the lunatic with the axe is me, but the axe isn't mine.

The other thing those pics don't show is just how hard it rained overnight! The Ryder Cup was rain affected with good reason.

so as you can see we set up ok tbl brought rissotto and choritsoand some peppers, harvestman foraged mushrooms and brought some, and hazelnut mix for drop scones and i bought some marinaded chicken tbl got the fire going and a nice meal was had by all, washer down by some whisky rum and some liquer we sat around the fire til 1.30 am and as luck would have it it started to rain time for bed

Hmmmm... i'm shure we went up minus the bakestone the first time around so you have no one to blame but yourself LoL :)
