I have just finished this knife from a kit for my mate. He had the kit bought for him by his kids with the intention he would make his second knife better than his first. I was told I could make it how I wanted so I did.
I got the materials after had started with the handle block cut into 3 pieces with one at an angle but the agles the pieces didnt match.
Here is what I achieved from one of these kits with some material of my own.
I have used red fibre spacers and the wide right angle stripe is birch bark I used haltanned leather which I wet formed to make the sheath as I did not want to used the leather that came with the kit. The handle is finished with danish oil and teh rough part of teh antler was filled with superglue
The belt loop is attached by friction (yes that means no stitching on the D ring holder)
As usual all comments are welcome (that includes I do not like that)
