I used to get lots of stuff from SA, to even on occasion travel up to their Morland shop when it was I went for a trip up to the lakes, or rather, the mountains of the lakes. One such trip rendered a Goretex bivvi bag for that weekend's trip doing extreme lightweight camping up in on the Eastern fells. Another time rendered a SA double Ventile Arctic Ranger coat and an aircrew evac compass, the brass button affair - of which I sold last year for four times what I paid for it after it spent thirty years in my wallet. The only thing I have left that is SA is the green Meraklon headover neck warmer buff thingy of which I still use. The Ventile Arctic Ranger - I made the mistake of leaving it with my mother of whom tossed it in the bin - I was not best pleased.
