    In the woods today...

We are running a student course this weekend so I have been out in the woods today and I have had the nicest day. Spring really does seem to be here and the woods look magical. Bluebells are coming up, daffodils are in bloom, the birds are singing and the sun was shining. There are loads of...

    Our new puppy!

Well we took the plunge and finally got ourselves a new puppy. His name is Bailey and he is looking like he will be fantastic addition to the family. He is very intelligent, eager to please and great with my little boy. Couldn't be happier, thanks so much to Spaniel Man who we got him from!

    Ridiculous Injury!

I have just hurt myself in the most ridiculous way. :o Out in the garden practicing handstands (don't ask) and I fell onto the side of my face and pulled something in my neck. There was such an ominous crack I though I'd really done something serious. Drove myself off to A&E to make sure and got...

    Jackets for women

I'm in the market for a new jacket (preferably ventile) and am having real trouble finding what I want. I am slim (size 8) and I'm drowned by most mens jackets even size small. I'm too tall for kids clothes though (5'7) Any ideas where I can get one to fit? I don't mind if its not cut for a...

    Deer surprise!

I was on a walk with a friend the other day through an area of woodland which is very beautiful but over-run with people and dogs. I have never seen deer there in 20 years of walking and we were actually just enjoying the spring flowers. Then I spotted a deer track in a patch of mud...

    Nettle soup

Just picked a whole load of nettles to make soup. I usually do a leek and potato type soup, substituting nettles for the leeks. Anyone got a more inventive/exciting idea?
