38! HUMBUG your still a baby I still do bits and bobs of learning and the wife who is 4?? is just finishing off a Behavioral Cognitive Therapy course before starting her masters in Clinical Practice next year and she has been a qualified Mental Health Nurse/Ward Manager for 25 years

Your never too old to learn, and the universities love us mature students, we tend not to flap, and just get the work done

No excuse's, no exemptions. When I went back to Uni and did the first year of my year nursing degree I had to attend classes in Research Methods and basic IT, even though I have a Masters in IT and I taught Research methods and programming to Post grad students at Leeds.

The thing is if you break down your 2000 words you will probably have a 200 - 300 word intro and a good conclusion should give you anything up to 400 words. Then just like the well loved AMI methodology it breaks down to:

Introduction = Tell them what you are going to tell them
Main body = tell them
Conclusion = tell them what you just told them with a look forward

Get your main headings find your references put them in order do a bit of reading and it will write itself, honest. As someone else who left the Army to go back to 'School', and stayed there for 8 years, I am happy to critically read it as you go on and beat you over the head about style and correct referencing.

Harvard ref is pretty much the standard used these days, if your no good with Microsoft Word, get a copy of 'Word for dummies' or something like that. 'Word' is a powerful programme, like it or hate it, and will really help you along the way. Feel free to PM me if you feel stuck, and I'll see what help I can offer

OK, a quick update on the camp 30th November

I've just got off the phone with Ian, the site owner and the camp is a go, no problem. A couple of you had phoned the site in the last week to confirm and were rightly told that I had not made a booking; this error on my part has now been resolved.

Can all those coming on the 30th, do me a favour and drop me an email or PM and I'll pass on my mobile number to you and will answer any questions regarding directions etc.

The February camp is also firmly booked. The guy is very helpful, but comes February he may be away, leaving a farm sitter in place. To make this a smooth Feb camp, Nigel and myself will be there a day early and we will post signs at the farm to guide you to the camp area. Mobile phone signals are good there and I'll post a contact number before the trip to make sure me, Nigel my lad or someone is there to meet you and show you the way down. I look forward to this camp and hope to pick up some new ideas, Mr Fenna, bring your leather kit along please

People, I have to say a no to this weekend

14.50 today, I had a call to me on the ward to offer me the chance of a knee flush on Friday, 10.30, I've been waiting months for this, so at the end of the day, I would had to go with the knee op. This is a stop gap measure to be honest before other work is done.

I am so sorry to miss this meet, but at the end of the day, I need my knee fixed

Have a great time (I've emailed Ian to say some are on their way and see you lot at the Feb 1st meet

For the Feb meet, I'll need to know who IS coming for sure and an ETA please. To be honest, I don't fancy waiting at the top of the track for people who won't be coming. The paths will be wet and muddy, so I strongly suggest you arrive during the day, either Friday or Saturday. Turning up late and in the dark will make finding a good spot difficult. A couple of trips ago, we had people turn up at 21.30 and it was a nightmare for them hauling gear down to the camp and setting up in the dark

I'll signpost the site from the main gates, leave a mobile number here on site and glow stick the path down for those who have been there before and don't need to be met.
