im thinking daysack and webbing, a bit tooooo army for my normal ways but hey try anything once, it just means more space in the car for the kit for all 4 of us and my teaching bits.....:)

Hi you can count me in guys only problem may be getting up there but if anyones going near harrogate on the way up i would pay for petrol! im taking the DDxl tarp and a snugpak bivvy..
The Tarp is huge so thinking of using it as a groundsheet and folding it into a crazy shape around my sleeping area!!

i'll have to go one day its just across the river from here, if i stand on the roof i think i can see it.lol

just pop over for the day if you like mate, the owner would not mind at all im sure.....

ref your offer of the tent thank you very much but i allready have 1 for the boys.....

getting another mat for him to kip on this week.....

if anyone has some dry / seasoned sycamore can they bring it allong as im all out, we can use it for the bow drill.....

you could come down the friday morning and stay that night and leave on the saturday sarvo, work allowing of course....:D

Went browsing the charity shops earlier and got a 100% Scottish wool blanket for £2.99. It's a biggy too. Perfect for in my hammock I reckon. I also got a wind-up head torch for under a tenner at Argos. Seems to work pretty well. 1 min winding gives 1 led 90 mins or 3 leds 40 mins. That should save me holding my phone in my mouth while trying to spark a fire, haha. I think all I need now is some paracord and I'll be kitted out.

go for it dude, im minimal this time and going to risk the softy 6 i think.......

webbing with tarp, guys, bunggies, water x 2, brew kit, stove, fuel, metal mug, bits bobs and junk.....lol....

daysack with bivvi, doss bag, sleeping mat, pans/pot, food spare water (maybe) torch, spare clothes (just in case i do a Mark ;) ), wash kit and some more junk :)

what you got Mr R???????

a 90 patt bivi,
a dutch issue arctic bag
and an issue sleep mat,...

gonna try keeping it as light as poss,...

got me dried food pack and i,m not gonna bring owt else,..

trying for sub 10 kgs..

ok we having a small comp between us then, but not counting my teaching junk...lol... :)

you know how much that weighs....hahahahahahahah

booooooooooo........... no more home brew for this 1, bummer, might get some ginger wine smashed ASAP and it might be ready, JUST!!!!!!
