I'm stuck in a bloody office today and I'm really not in the mood for it. Just can't concentrate on anything. The fact that I'm on my own only makes it worse.
I'm not in the mood to be indoors today. I want to be outside. I want to be doing something, using my hands.
What can I do to occupy my time? Can't even be bothered to play games on the computer. Fed up with looking at all the same websites as well. Mind you, I do have a pack of honey-covered macadamians from Asda and they are really gorgeous. I'm even of thinking of eating my lunch early to distract me. Just drunk my bottle of Lucozade as well, so don't even have that to look forward to.
What a mess I'm getting myself in.
Come on, anyone got any good time-wasters/mind-distractors? The more constructive the better. May do a marathon fantasy-shop on Silvermans to see how much it would all come to. Mmm...could do that. I want to be 'doing' today though.
Those macadamians really are quite nice.

I'm having a similar day aswell and can't get myself motivated at all. I'm gonna make up for it tonight and try to get some badger piccies though.

Well, I call it an office...it's more of a broom cupboard. In the end I started reading a student's (very boring) Phd thesis.
It's the end of term/academic year and things always slow down about this time. Except for the students who like to panic about everything and knock on the door wanting to talk about essays and dissertations. Come September and all the lecturing starts again and there's no time to loiter.
So I'm not going to feel guilty about about time-wasting.

Sounds a bit rubbish... I hate quiet times at work... Different environment I guess, (I work in a kitchen, so no sitting for a start) but January is *yawn, DEAD.

Out of interest, what do you teach Durulz?

Mainly literature but get roped into some cultural studies and art history.

...ah, colouring in?? Mind ya don't let them go over the black line

The lass we had as a lecturer on History of Art & Design was a complete barking mad nutter - we all used to wonder if it was a job requirement for that particular topic

All our War Studies lecturers were BRILLIANT

I rarely get bored at work, if I feel it creeping on I switch to another project or throw things at the Radio if bl**dy Gardeners Question time comes on

But I work on my own so I have free vent to play with hammers & sharp things all day without too much interuption
