Don't know about kangaroo leather but I have a Rogue hat and I give that an occasional going over with the same stuff I use on my leather boots, Nikwax or similar. Works just fine for me.

Hello, i will swear by mink oil. Have tried nikwax etc but keep coming back to this. After a recomendation on this site i got some for my leather bush hat (rogue oily ranger) and was so impresed i use it for my boots, (meindl with out the goretex).

I like it coz unlike the nikwakx it does not attract the dirt and after an unsuccessful affair with nikwax my hat is as waterproof, supple and dirt free as when i bought it!
(the boots are sweet too)

I have a Rogue leather hat. I used some heated Barbour Dressing, coated the hat, then put it in the oven on low for something like 30 seconds, worked a treat, the leather absorbed the stuff and now the hat stays dry. Just don't leave it too long though, or you will get a nasty surprise:D
