The kids on one of the local farms set up a stall each year selling goose eggs. I bought three.

I've only ever eaten chicken eggs. I really want to try duck eggs, though. How do they compare to chicken eggs? The kids on one of the local farms set up a stall each year selling goose eggs. I bought three.

Duck eggs are richer and thicker consistency.... normal chicken eggs are like water in comparison.I've only ever eaten chicken eggs. I really want to try duck eggs, though. How do they compare to chicken eggs?
I've not tried duck eggs. But goose eggs are great. Much bigger, obviously, than a chicken egg, but the yolks are proportionally much bigger too. So you end up with a huge yolk. Higher cholesterol and very nutritious.I've only ever eaten chicken eggs. I really want to try duck eggs, though. How do they compare to chicken eggs?
They can be a bit cantankerous, can't they. Was actually considering getting some for that reason.Nice. We used to have geese.
Great guard dogs.

Saturday afternoon, I found a small kilner butter churn on the shelf of my local charity shop. Made butter with it today.

Yes - their bite is no worse than a gentle pinch.I have always found that Geese are absolutely fine and as long as you're not scared of them, they don't do a lot but if you show any fear that's when they will attack/chase you.
Glad to be of thervith Mithtreth.or.. the shop keeper was very helpful and even gave me a few bolts to keep my head on straight for free. Nice chap.
