A wool swandri jacket with hood.
Sadly they only do a pale pink check in the ladies version. If i wait until Sept, they are doing a blue or deeper pink, neither of which I'm enamoured with.I'm wondering if it's possible to overdye it to a more woodcrafy colour. Green or brown would be fine. Any suggestions of suitable dyes?
I just need rid of the pink..my barbie days are well and truly over!!! :)
I fear you may not like my vintage Swanndri, in which case…IMG_6870.jpeg

I have been after a traditional hunter style blade with an antler handle for a while, the blade steel is low par for me, but they all seem to be 420 stainless, this one has a tiny upgrade to 425.

That'll look nice with the Tracht.
A few years ago I made up a nicker on a full-tang blade that I'd I bought from Linder (also stainless steel).

Agreed, although my German barmaid outfit is a little snug nowadays.

I honestly don't know why this style of knife has been calling to me, the steel is to be honest very low par, and its uses are very limited....but it just looks to me, a joy and fun! It might be moved on in time, or maybe even after I get it out of the box?

I'll update as and when it arrives...

I believe the Dirndl is supposed to be snug...

The one that I made was for a colleague who was leaving. Before I sold the knife to her for a penny, I tested its cutting ability on rye bread, smoked cheese, cold roast pork and an apple: it passed with flying colours.

I used snakewood for the scales, though, because I thought that antler on a full tang would look a bit badly proportioned. Seeing your Mikov makes me want to have another go, but with a stick tang, this time.

I've been looking at this one recently too

I've always liked the natural guard that these designs create.

A 2013 Freelander 2. My first ever Land Rover.

To get me into the spirit of things I’ve already booked it in at the local garage to get the timing belt replaced.
I would spend the weekend rolling round on your drive whilst someone pours oil on you too, just to get right into the spirit of things.

I would get the viscous coupling checked too, my sister-in-law's one died and it was quite a pain.

Sounds about right! I’ll ask my wife to break open the Castrol.

I don’t think the FL2 has VC thankfully, it’s a Haldex unit. Going to get it a good look over by a Land Rover specialist though as ultimately I have very little clue about any of it.

Don't listen to them - Freelander 2s are good cars :)
I am not knocking them, more a comment on landy ownership in general. I only had a defender for a few years but seemed to spend some time underneath it most weekends, fir one reason or another
