Swedish Rescue Bag

Has anyone got any experience of this bit of kit? Would it / could it be used as a bedroll?

Hi. Just seen these. They look good as a traditional type canvas bag, but the wieght is way too much if you want to carry it any distance! JMO

I saw them last week, was tempted but at 7-ish kg and a huge rolled up size decide against,the outer though does look a useful canvas bed bag.

Similar issue here. All I have owned off the shelf have needed snother couple of inches

These bags are called bårsäck and there was some talk about one a little while ago.
You can fill this bag with whatever insulation you might find; hay, spruce, leaves....

Try a ccf mat cut to measure?
Ive got a couple cheap self inflating mats that fit the czech bedroll well so its doable if you do without the luxury bit

Hi Pignut,
these bags were used to carry casualties off to get medical attention. Not like bodybags, but more like insulated stretchers. I guess they were used with Swedish army pulks in that case.
