The Saami divided the year into eight seasons which makes sense to me but keeping it just to four, in order of preference.

Winter - The harder the better.

Autumn - Especially if its calm and misty.

Spring - Not too hot or Buggy yet.
Summer -

Bring on the Autumn...

All seasons can have their good and bad days, if I have a chance I'd go out in either.
