When in need of small shelf.....

Have this small fan in my bathroom.
Since I only have one electric socket and need at least three had to install a power strip and needed a shelf for said thing.
So I made this thingamabob kind of a shelf. Suspened by paracord from a wall mounted hook.

Fan blows warm and cold air. Warm air needed wintertime and/or to dry up the bathroom after shower.
Can also be a bit chilly showering or sitting on the heavenly throne wintertime so a bit of warm air feels nice. Only heating in bathroom is the towel warmer and it is absolutly not enough.
The thing in the middle of the power strip is a nightlight. No need to switch on the blinding ceiling light at night.

Although it will depend how far it is away from water, and if you can touch it whilst in or near water. I've seen worse.

No, I cannot touch the fan while in the shower and furthermore there is a shower curtain so not a drop of water can splash upon the electric appliance.
For a drop of water to touch the fan it has to drop to the floor, creep under showercurtain, travel about 2 meters along the floor and then jump up to a hight about 1 meter off the floor.
That is an achievent only made by the magic bullet in Kennedy assasination.

A squeegee is a great way of keeping a shower room less humid, just use it to pull off the condensation and push it down the plug hole. Much safer too....

Personally id have the door open stand it on the floor outside and blast it in, but its your choice. Realistically the humidiy and accidentally touching after a slip are the most likely dangers. On reflection, id bin the idea and have a rapid poo and shower exit.

But you could apply that to so many things in life couldn't it? What others do or don't do.

As Herman rightly pointed out - legally , he advises it breaks no rule in his country. If by accident he being a fully grown adult injuries himself - so be it.

Just to check the basics:
You have a 230 volt socket legally built into your bathroom - one that isn’t made and rated for an electric shaver? Is that right?
If so:
That in itself says that Finland takes a different view from UK, of the earthing risks in a bath/shower room.

I can only presume that you don’t suffer a high proportion of electrocutions of people taking showers or baths in your country.

It is true that some of the UK rules about domestic electrics date from times when switches were mainly made of brass or (brittle) Bakelite and we have seen no advantage in changing them.

That said, your suspended plastic fan scares the crop out of me!
