Handy little microtool set for pocket knife and electronics tinkering.
Be glad you didn't....
Very nice.
Keep coming across the Wera tools but haven't pulled the trigger on any yet.
Does the quality match the price?
I've had my eye on a Keith titanium canteen set for ages but the price has always put me off pulling the trigger. They do look really nice though.Bought myself a Keith titanium canteen set to replace my kit that was stolen a few years ago. Works really well with a trangia burner
I had one for years, was a heavy cover set which is just a rebranded Keith titanium. Really good quality, never had any issues with mine and it had some heavy use.I've had my eye on a Keith titanium canteen set for ages but the price has always put me off pulling the trigger. I might be tempted if they made a billy can with an extra handle that goes over the top from one side to the other so that it can be hung up or lifted of a fire with a stick.I had one for years, was a heavy cover set which is just a rebranded Keith titanium. Well I can now tell you they're tougher than the thread of the flipping Spyderco UKPK torx screws.Very nice.

Ask me how I know <insert angry face here>.
I nearly said that sometimes you want bits that are softer than the screws! Hope you can get it out well enough. It's probably the loctite that has caused the issue. HAve you warmed it up?
I had wondered about the change from D2. It needed doing, if only for people to stop moaning about D2. But, this is a £35 knife in the GITD form, a £25 knife in normal G10, so I’m not bothered about the steel much and would have been fine with D2 for the money.Be glad you didn't....

AR-RPM9 Knife Steel is False Advertising - Knife Steel Nerds
Is it malice or stupidity? Do knife companies even know what steel they are buying? Do knife enthusiasts care?knifesteelnerds.com
Like you, the steel made no difference to me. I can't deny that it sounds cool, but was definitely not assuming it to be anything special given the price point and the fact that it's a steel not being used by companies with far more to lose in terms of reputation. Assumed it was rebadged or just guff.I had wondered about the change from D2. It needed doing, if only for people to stop moaning about D2. The fanfare and false advertising is annoying though. I couldn’t watch all the video, but I picked up that it’s more likely an ignorance of metallurgy rather than a malicious attempt to convince buyers they’re getting a super steel.
That's really quite annoying. I hate singel sided ones that aren't a D on the shaft to lock them properly.Yeah, I have put it in the oven and everything. Problem is both sides (including the smooth side) are spinning. Rubber band trick, high friction surface, neither work.
Going to have to saw a notch into the smooth side I think so I can hold it with a flathead screwdriver whilst torxing the other side.
Really interesting article though, learnt new things, thank you for sharingBe glad you didn't....

The tip I always see is to glue a suitable nut to grab on the smooth side, which can then be removed without leaving a/much trace. Not actually had cause to use said tip myself, but that's what they say.Yeah, I have put it in the oven and everything. Problem is both sides (including the smooth side) are spinning. I have always found that you do unscrew a Spyderco, I have always damaged the torx head....even the pocket clip screws.... *Sob*Well I can now tell you they're tougher than the thread of the flipping Spyderco UKPK torx screws.
