My Helikon-Tex Wolfhound in US Woodland arrived, and first impressions are good, a nice, lightweight synthetic insulated jacket! I also picked up a rather charming little Karrimor Jag 1 for about £6

Fingerless wool gloves with thinsulate. Cheap, warm and let you use your phone apps.

I've never been drawn to the beige colours but actually it looks great in person and a little more subtle than most of the other colours I have
It looks proper old school, being canvas. The colours seem to enhance it as a whole. I wouldn’t pick those colours if it was clothing, but they look good as a pack, and, like you say, they’re subtle . They’ll blend in nicely if you want a low key walk in the woods.

I’ve been stocking up on spirits while it’s Black Friday. Bought a bottle of Aber Falls single malt whisky- very nice as an “everyday” tipple (not that I do have a tipple everyday.Lol). A couple of bottles of 10 year old Bulleit Bourbon, bought one, then another after tasting, it’s rather delicious, not usually a fan of bourbon, but this is really smooth and tasty. A couple of Rakis, one is Kulüp Rakı, should be £47 a bottle, but reduced to £34.98, and a couple of cheaper Yeni Raki 1937. A bottle of Ouzo 12- I do like my aniseed spirits. A bottle of delicious Italian Sicilian blood orange Malfi gin and a lemon one for my sister, a bottle of Greek 12* Metaxa, a 63% strength white rum by Wray and Nephew and a bottle of Diplomático Mautuano, Premium Venezuelan Rum, oh, and a bottle of Vermouth to go with the bottle of Tanqueray and some Campari to mix up some Negronis. That little lot should keep me going a couple of years! Oops, nearly forgot, a bottle of Japanese UKIYO Rice vodka, nearly half price at £21. Thought I’d go for a rather international selection out of interest, they’re all award winning spirits.

Well, it's in the post on its way but I bought a Helikon-Tex swagman roll to use it as a Light blanket and as some extra insulation over/inside my sleeping bag depending on weather.

I've just bought loads of tools, bolts, screws, some nice wall storage cabinets for them, and a workbench I had not planned on. All due with big thanks, to the efforts of Trojan who advertised it on this forum, and organised the garage (amazing workshop) clearance sale for a friend.
I think Trojan also got an unexpected workout, moving so much stuff around! Thank you for helping me load up.

Reckon you'll be impressed, I find them warmer and much more versatile than the Snugpak Jungle Blanket.

Im looking forward to seeing what its like and if it will fill the role im hoping it will. I have a light synthetic quilt that I use as extra insulation and as a condensation barrier over my down quilt so im hoping to ditch that quilt and use the swagman and of course it can also be a warm jacket layer too.
