Yesterday at the last farmers market of the year, there was a lady selling herbal teas, and advertising a herbal worshop, I bought some dried herbs I don't have, paper tea bags and the workshop in herbalism. Not until November. Its rare to find any affordable courses or workshops round here. I'm realy looking forward to it.
Camomile tea from now on before bed, instead of my usual cuppa. I'm going to have to start to grow my own.!

Good haul. Not a fan of Olight, well their marketing, but that’s a good looking torch.

The mango is amazing, reminds me of Tigers Eye. Whatever it goes on ought to have red and black liners.
Haha…. I know you are not a fan of OLight, but I have been happy with mine so far, and this was being offered at a significant discount below normal retail.

Yes, the mango is good. There was a lot of good wood at reasonable prices, but this really stood out. I have never used mango before. It’s quite a long piece, in keeping with the fashion moving away from bushcraft knives to kitchen knives, which have longer handles. I expect I will use it for a hidden tang kitchen knife.

Also bought 60mm x 3mm x 1m of AEBL for making chefs knives.

May have fallen victim to the Wurkkos sales. Had one of these in orange ano and 4000K warm white emitter and sold it. Blue with 5000K, and cheap.

They're doing a run of their new clip lights in different colours and aluminium bodies that aren't as nice as the O-Clip but pretty good for the money.

I'm currently resisting the urge to buy another couple of Wukkos H25S for £7.38 each. For a 18650 basic rechargable head torch is a bargain. My current one has been fine although not used it a huge amount.

From my local garden centre.
Called “Garden Pegs” they are steel, very much tougher and 50% longer than the usual tent peg. Also the hook has a slight reflex at its base which may help its hold.

I literally nail down the crazy quasi tipi using those pegs based upon nine inch nails and when conditions demand: eight inch augers. However, for peripheral stuff like overnight tarp covers over my kitchen kit etc these shall be ideal.

Needed a new, no frills, fleece vest for a long time. Searched the web but all the known brands are too expensive and/or too small. Lo and behold; finally found one in a webshop that sell working clothes. Cost only 34 euros and size wise plenty enough for me.

And of course this, before anyone gets their knickers in a twist :D

Though the way they’re sold in pairs on Amazon as ‘walkie talkies’, you’d easily not know you need a license.

I passed my test on Monday and got my license/callsign today. The book is... fine. I'd say a fair bit of superfluous waffle. Although the test itself is also a bit overkill (questions on how to use a ladder safely?? Come on.), it wasn't too difficult as long as you can force your way through the book whilst retaining the will to live.
