Just had a brain wave.
Assuming you can identify non poisonous plants they can be a source of water. Either by branch bag or solar destilery or even tapping directly in to a tree.
But it's slow and not very efficient.
How about PRESSING the liquid out of the greens? If you can press oil out of seeds than water shouldn't be too hard. Something with a heavy rock or logs. Or even bashing the plants in to a pulp and squeezing it through a bandana.

Purely theoretical question, what are your thoughts?

You would end up with a lot more than just H2O - more of a smoothie.
Bashing green plants before adding them to a solar still speeds up water extraction by quite a bit though :)
