If you are into custom knives and can drive about an hour and a half north on I-5 then to the 405, go to Plaza Cutlery at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. It is a fine knife store with all the major factory knives and many custom knives from makers all over. There is also an Adventure 16 store on Newport blvd. nearby and a lot of good places to eat. South Coast Plaza is a huge shopping center with very upscale store. Enjoy San Diego and the Mexican food in Old Town.
