Does anyone know where I can get a proper tomahawk tha can actually be used as a tool, rather than a poofy designer tomahawk with tassles and a beard?

Google has let me down on this one (the world will never be the same.... :aargh4: )

Thanks,

Jake.

Try Lee Reeves, his work is beautiful (I am waiting for a hatchet at the moment). Just do a forum search for some nice pics of his work.

Hi: Try www.2hawks.net I think you'll like what you see......Best, Bruce

I believe 2hawks passed away recently and in fact has not been making hawks for years due to bad health.

I can strongly recommend Lee Reeves. His hawks are functional art. Very light too.

yes, it's the riflemans hawk. i plan to try it out as a camp axe rather than a thrower so i chose that one as it has a longer cutting edge (around 4")
if i don't like it, well it wasn't expensive.
if i do like it i may get a more expensive version.

Is that also a Cold Steel 'hawk?

And Graham, if you can bring your new toy to the meet I would be most interested to see/try it. The Cold Steel pricesare fairly modest and it sure looks lighter than a SFA.

No Doc, it's a GB one !
Bought it second hand over on BB, still cost more than a SFA though !
It's almost sharp enough now - cuts paper OK but not quite shaving sharp yet
Changed the pictures on my post abopve to show different ones !!!

Sorry, Buckshot, I see it is a GB. Handled one at the Scottish meet and very nice they are too.

The Cold Steel 'hawks are circa 20 quid.

Hi mates,
From the US, Ranger Knives makes the Renegade Hawk, excellent!

I have one and it is amazing. Ranger Knives
Interesting hawk there.
What are the finger groves for on the under side of the main blade?
Can't say I'm a fan of the spike though - makes it look too much like a weapon IMO
Nice tool though...
