Recipe please! This thread has got me wandering if I should have a crack at making some myself.
No real recipe, just add some nice ripe Stilton instead of cheddar, and a couple of tablespoons of red onion chutney, totaly made up by me when I had a nub of cheese and the scrag end of a jar of chutney so I never measured it.
Cheese and marmite scones, you can add a tablespoon to the dough, and swirl it through, or just spread the cheese scone with it, when it comes out of the oven.
I use the cranks recipe for cheese scones. Though I'm sure any cheese scones recipe would work just as well.

In Looe two weeks ago I had a savoury cream tea.
Cheese scones, grated cheese and chilli jam. VERY nice.
The quality of the scone is all important.

Ahhh ,A soft spot in my heart for Dorset.
Only county without a Motorway running through it.
Never heard of Wales? Or Scotland? Lots of counties there without motorways...
Fruit scone, strawberry jam and then the clotted cream. Eat the bottom half first, saving the top bit to savour once the tastebuds are singing :)
