The beginning of another copper project, pic heavy

I was asked to make a copper vase and 6 copper roses to be given as a retirement gift. This is the vase so far, still needs a bit of tidying up but more or less complete. I will be starting the roses today.

Made with a 12" length of recycled 3" copper drain pipe and some recycled copper wire.
Tools used: hammer, pliers, tin snips and a mapp gas torch

Didn't take much notice of time but a guess would be 5-6 hours. I started and completed it yesterday......worked pretty steady with an occasional bathroom break.

A tinderbox has been on my list for some time. The problem is free time to make things for myself is minimal. It seems when I complete everything on my list for others.....another commission comes in! It's good money if your efficient and keep at it steady and hard to say no to a good wage!
